Unlike Mana, which can regenerate over time, Spirit does not regenerate passively. This makes it imperative for players to POE2 Currency focus on increasing their maximum Spirit capacity to ensure they can continue utilizing Spirit-heavy abilities without running into resource shortages.

Increasing Your Max Spirit: Three Key Methods

Increasing your Max Spirit is essential for building effective Spirit-reliant characters. There are three primary ways to boost your maximum Spirit pool in Path of Exile 2:

    Defeat Bosses for Spirit Consumables

    Equip Gear with Spirit Bonuses

Allocate Passive Skill Points or Ascendancy Nodes

1. Defeat Bosses for Spirit Consumables

Bosses throughout the game drop consumables that permanently increase your Max Spirit. These consumables are critical to expanding your resource pool as you progress through the game. You’ll find these items by defeating key bosses in each Act, starting from the very beginning of the game.

For example, in Act 1, after defeating The King in the Mists, you can obtain a consumable that grants a permanent 30 Spirit increase. As you move through the game, keep an eye out for bosses marked with a "+" sign on the World Map, which indicates that defeating them will reward you with a Spirit bonus. Make sure to take the time to defeat these bosses, especially during your early progression, to ensure your Spirit pool grows in tandem with your build's requirements.

2. Equip Gear with Spirit Bonuses

Certain gear in Path of Exile 2 offers bonuses that directly increase your Max Spirit. One standout piece of equipment for Spirit-heavy builds is the Sceptre, which grants an impressive +100 Spirit bonus. This can be a game-changer for builds focused on minion summons or powerful self-buffs, as it adds a substantial boost to your available Spirit.

While the Sceptre is one of the best choices for Spirit-enhancing gear, some other equipment pieces also provide smaller bonuses to Max Spirit. These bonuses are typically indicated by a "+x Spirit" stat. However, they are much rarer compared to the Sceptre, making it a must-have for players who rely on Spirit.

3. Passive Skill Points and Ascendancy Nodes

As you level up, you can allocate Passive Skill Points to enhance your Max Spirit or improve the efficiency of Spirit reservation. Many Passive Skill Nodes are designed to either increase your Max Spirit or reduce the Spirit reservation cost for certain abilities, allowing you to use more Spirit-heavy skills without running out of resources.

In addition to Passive Skill Nodes, Ascendancy Nodes can also provide powerful Spirit-related benefits. For instance, the Infernalist Witch Ascendancy node "Beidat's Will" increases your Max Spirit based on your Max Life, creating a synergy between your health and Spirit capacity. This can be especially useful for cheap POE 2 Divine Orbs builds that focus on both high Life and Spirit pools.
